Q: What will my child's pictures look like?

Unlike many large corporate type photography companies, Sunflower specializes in putting the "Portrait" back in school photography.   Our clients are amazed that our portraits do not look like typical school pictures but more like private portrait sittings.  This is because our photographers are professionals at dealing with kids and bring out their smiles and personalities. We strive to Take our portraits in a natural outdoor setting going as far as bring flowers to enhance the colors of the background.

Q: What should my child wear to Picture Day?

Our photography looks best when your child wears colorful clothes that are neat and comfortable. Their portraits could potentially show most of the upper torso and even the tops of legs, so be sure they wear an outfit appropriate for this composition. Hats are not allowed, and if your child wears a hat to school on Picture Day remember their hairstyle could be affected by it. Keep in mind our photographers are not permitted to make physical contact with the children, and therefore will not be able to fix their hair, straighten jackets, etc. If you have specific style requests, please have the student give that information to the photographer on Picture Day.

Q: Can I order just one picture?

Our proof envelopes contain several packages to choose from and we strive to accommodate a variety of portrait needs. While we do not sell photographs on an individual basis, we do offer the opportunity to purchase ala cart sizes after the initial package purchase. Only the packages listed on our proof envelopes are available for purchase. There are no exceptions or customizing.

Q: How long does it take to receive my picture order?

Our portraits will be mailed directly to your school approximately 3 to 5 weeks after your order is received in our office.

Q: What about retouching?

All of our photographs are examined and if necessary will be retouched of blemishes and minor imperfections free of charge. Any extensive retouching, i.e. tattoos, logo removal or black eyes, is available for an additional fee.

Q: What if I don't like my child's pictures?

If you are unhappy with the results of your child's pictures for any reason, Sunflower will happily refund your money.

Q: Can I order more pictures after I receive the portrait order?

Of course. when you receive your initial order, there will be a re-order form in the package. With this form you are able to order a varity of products such as all different sizes of prints, holiday cards and specialty items.

Q: Can I purchase portraits from the previous year?

Yes. Sunflower keeps an archive of all the portraits we take. Additional archiving fees may apply.

Q:Can I make copies of the portraits on my own?

No. All of Sunflower Portraits' material is copyrighted, and therefore it is illegal to copy without permission.
